Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-08.
HantaTracker is built to be read, not to read you back. We aim to collect as little as possible and store nothing personal.
Logging
We do not keep server access logs. Requests to hantatracker.net are not recorded, retained, or correlated to a visitor.
Storage
We do not set cookies. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any other browser storage to identify or remember you. There is no account system, no email collection, no contact form on the site.
Tracking
We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate page-view counts. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics product that:
- Does not use cookies.
- Does not collect personal data.
- Does not build a cross-site profile of visitors.
- Anonymises IP addresses (they are hashed, never stored).
- Is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design.
The data Plausible collects is limited to: page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and country (derived from IP and then discarded). No individual visitor can be identified from this data. The aggregated stats are kept for our own understanding of which pages are useful — they are not shared, sold, or used for advertising.
You can read Plausible's own data policy for the full technical details.
Third-party links
Pages on HantaTracker link to external websites — chiefly WHO, CDC, ECDC, and PAHO. When you follow one of those links, the destination site's privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for what they collect.
Hosting
The site is served as static HTML/CSS/JS from a CDN. No application server processes your requests, and there is no database holding visitor information.
